Help, Ich treatment!

I just saw my cleaner shrimp tending to my sailfin tang. Upon closer inspection I saw a few small white spots on it's body and fins. Very, very small. From my time in FW it looks like Ich. My question is on treatment. I've got a 30g that I could setup as a hospital tank but I would never be able to catch the fish. How should I attempt treatment? Is there a treatment that will not affect any of my corals? I've seen products advertised as reef safe, but are they? I've read a little bit about Hyposalinity but once again, catching the fish is the tough part. The fish wasn't infected this afternoon, it just popped up within the past few hours. The fish is still actively grazing and feeding. It's breathing doesn't appear to be labored and it's behavior hasn't changed a bit. At this ealy stage would it be worth while to try garlic? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the entire tank needs to be treated right? Since the flagellate stage would still be present in the water column after visible signs on the fish were gone. So in that case I would have to remove all fish from the display tank to fully eradicate the infestation?

you are right about fully eradicating ick, how long have you had the tang? only 2 treatments are copper and hypo, the reff safe products are more of a miss than a hit, but people claim to have sucess with kick ick, stop parasites,

I've had the tang for a little under a month. No way I can use either of those two treatments on the whole tank.

I just got up this morning and the cleaner shrimp must have been busy all night long. I only see one small spot of ich on the tang now. I'm going to try the garlic for the next few days and see what happens. Maybe a combination of that and the fishes immune system will take care of it. I'm trying to avoid adding any unnecessary chemicals to the tank.

Any other suggestions?

don't be fooled by this!!! the trophonts only remain on the fish for a few days before dropping to the bottom to multiply..you have most likely witnessed this stage..they will be back and likely in more numbers
