Starting over
I went to AC last night and picked up a few small pieces of live rock. When I got home and put it in the tank two peices felt soft. I was looking at them this morning and one had swelled up a little and then squirted water out and deflated. They are about 3 to 4 in long, looks like a piece of indian corn but red. It looks to have a hole at one end and one on the side. I have been looking to find something that looks like it. The closes thing I found is a sea squirt. If that is it are they safe. I will try to get a pic. Thanks for any information.

Thats kind of what I found. But these are not see through at all. They have lines that look like a wrinkle the length. They have bumps on them and sand and very small rocks on one end. They are two single pieces. I wished they looked like the link those are pretty!

Ricky they are sponges Ive had some before. They wont hurt anything actually good for the tank cause they filter water. A word of caution if you pull them out of the tank get ready casue they will shoot water at you. Dont say I didnt warn you. Laugh

If they look like this, except orange-colored, then you have a tunicate (a.k.a. sea squirt). They consistently come in on the live rock that the Critter gets and if you are lucky enough to have one that survives, all the better. They're just filter feeders.
