Help ID this coral

Hi all,

I purchased a leather coral and found out that its base was actually a coral. Can you help me to ID it?

Also, should I remove the dead skeleton?

Yep Galaxea I wonder why it's not stinging the crap out of that leather and to add to that make sure you have plenty of distance between that Galaxea and it's nearest coral. I'd say at least 6" if not more. They have very long and VERY powerful sting to other corals.
