Hi, again,

You all have been great with helping ID every new cool thing (that I can't find on Google) that comes out of my new live rock. My kids are loving watching the science happening right under their noses!

Ok, another one. Found this snail on the rock. Ideas?

Thanks!

I believe it's a type of algae eating snail. I forgot their name but nothing to worry about. I got them too. They come and go.

And they stay small. But only annoying thing is that they can populate quite fast... and then gradually die away.

Nice! Thanks.

Follow up question: Should I be concerned about them clogging my Durso overflow? The diameter is 3/4" - small due to the nano tank size.

It IS an algae eater, but Humphrey probably doesn't have them too. I think this is the second time I've seen one show up in a tank, and that's about the same number I've seen in the wild. It's a Pseudostomatella, and won't be any problem for you.

Cheers,

Don
