I noticed this on my engineer goby. I'm not sure if it's a wound or disease. I'm sorry about the blurry picture. There's a white dot surrounded by raised skin or cyst. Fish appears to be eating and acting normally. This is a fish only tank. I'm running a UV with copper in the tank.

tough to tell.. one possibility is he scratched it and it got infected.. could treat for fungal/bacterial infection.. usually with fungus you can kind of tell.. it has the fungi look to it.... some people don't like pimafix/milafix but i've had good luck with it in the past.. but can be hit or miss since it's just natural anti-fungal/bacterial plant juice basically. even smells like it.

I'm not aware of any parasites that look like that...

Really hard to tell from the pic but it appears to be an abrasion that has become infected. Can you get a better pic? Do you have any antibiotics on hand?

No better photos. I tried to take a few but look just like the last. Only thing I have is for parasites/Ick. I'll need to go to the fish store

Goby succumbed to disease

Goby succumbed to disease

Just following up. The goby died today. The disease appeared to be eating the flesh just behind the eye. I've never seen anything like this. What can I do to prevent this from effecting my other fish? Where does something like this come from?
