Help! Infection Or Abrasion

Yesterday I noticed my fish has a reddish blister almost looking spot on it's side, I thought it was a abrasion of some sort and it would heal on it's own. But today when I woke up I noticed the fish was lodged between two rocks, dead. So I am just wondering does this wound look like a abrasion or a infection, as well I have only had the fish for three days.

It most commonly affects Chromis, but it can affect any fish. Green Chromis seem to be more susceptible due to collection methods. As far as treatment goes, there isn't much you can do since it is in the DT. Chloroquine phosphate is the only treatment that (anecdotally) kills Uronema, but it is NOT reef safe and difficult to administer in the DT. On the bright side, Uronema is normally a free-living organism that feeds on bacteria and MAY be a part of normal aquarium fauna. Keep your water quality pristine and keep your fingers crossed that the infection was self-limiting to the Chromis.
