HELP : lighting for 75g

well my system is currently up and running with a pair of crappy T8 lights the tank came with.

i had ordered lights but that eventually fell through

i have a few options... i want to eventually keep sps/lps.

the tank is 25.5" deep.

the options are :

-£450 -Arcadia 4 Marine 70cm 150w T5 (1 x 150mh + 2 x 24w T5)
-£250 -Arcadia 4 Marine 55cm 250w (1 x 250w mh)
-£165 -Arcadia Classica LED Single 150w 660mm (1 x 150w mh)
-£260 -T5 Halide 610mm Retro Kit ( 250w mh + 2 x t5 )

id rather not spend the small fortune on the 70cm arcadia. although i know it is the best option. would any of the others be adequate ? or will they just not cut it ??

Yea I'd do at least 2 x 250w halide if you want to do SPS, otherwise it doesn't matter.

heck with 1 mh yoru going to have some major dead area's on either side of the tank even if you put it dead center there is most likely a support beat in the middle of the tank....

hmm, hadnt thought about that. lol. thanx what light options do i have then ? with double 250's ? or am i better off building my own hood ( an open bottom box from the same wood as the stand... could hang this. ) wouldnt cost much at all.

If you want SPS, I don't think 150w will do at 25.5" deep tank. If you with the dual 250's in a blueish 14K, you won't even need the actinics and can save money there.

sounds like an even better plan the less money the better. im getting a new car next week as well. haha so im a bit skint. ( I i just ordered a ghl computer pack ) the lights would have to come one at a time. haha thanx for all the input guys

If you can live without the shimmering, take a look at Tek's T5HO fixtures.

where can i get them ? some of this stuff you guys in canada/US can get doesnt seem to be available over here in the UK
