I was about to add the live sand to a new tank that I am establishing, and I noticed that the 20 pound bag of Carib-Sea Arag-Alive sand is moist on the outside. I think that it may have leaked.
The sand within looks dry-ish., though there is still some obvious moisture within. The bag is sucked in, like a vaccum sealed bag.
Dammit...
Is this sand ok to add, or (if it has leaked, as the moist bag that it was sitting in would suggest), is it dangerous to add? Dead bacteria etc...
I could wait until tomorrow and go back to the LFS and see if they will exchange it. Again, Dammit...
