Our tank is now a going concern, full of coral frags, with a lovely clean-up-crew and four fish ready to come out of the QT and enter the display soon. It happens to be my birthday mid-January, and I've asked my husband for another group of fish and maybe a few inverts to flesh out the tank. He said yes, so another group will go into the QT soon... now I just have to decide what to get!
Our current inhabitants include:
2 ocellaris clownfish
1 longnosed hawkfish
1 yellow watchman goby
1 bullseye pistol shrimp
1 skunk cleaner shrimp
2 emerald crabs
~20 hermits (8 Hawaiian 'left handed' black and white, 10 blue, 2 misc brown, species unknown)
10 turbo snails
10 nassarius snails
several species of leather coral, fox coral, hammers, frogspawn, rics (Florida & yuma), various mushrooms, loads of zoanthids, blastomussa, 1 SPS frag, xenia, clove polyps, dendros, sun coral -- very much a mixed bag of stonies and softies.
Possible additions:
- clown goby
- kole tang (had one in QT, but she died, liked her very much)
- some sort of blenny (suggestions?)
- bubble coral
- brittle starfish
- porcelain crab(s)
- scarlet hermits
I'm absolutely open to ideas. Tank & equipment parameters are in my signature. I don't want anything that will outgrow the tank or stress its fellow inhabitants, so even though I'd like colourful little damsels they're off the list. I want a dwarf angel, but I'm not sure I want to take the risk of getting a 'nipper'; they're such stunning fish I may choose to take the chance but right now I'm on the fence. If you want to throw in ideas, I'm all ears (eyes)!
