Help me pick a light for a Elso Mini

I am buying a elso mini dimensions of the tank is 17x17x16 but having trouble picking a light Is a AI 12" Sol going to be overkill. Or should I wait for the AI Nano to come out in June . I will be keeping a mix of LPS and SPS. Now 629.95 for the SOL with controller and 439.00 for the Nano with controller. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated ! Im trying to be somewhat cost conscoius . The price difference between the two could help with the purchase of the VorTech MP10 .

I have been using a 150 watt jbj viper over my nano .I'm going to use 2 for my 40 gallon breeder you can pick them up new for around 200 each . I am also going to use a 36 inch reef brite to supplement .
