Help me pick my TDS meter

Help me pick a TDS meter to test my RO, and possibly soon RO and DI, set up. I only have one RO setup to test, so portability doesn't really matter to me at this point, but I don't know if there would be another advantage of that. I am currently thinking I want to do the inline one. But thought Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢d take a poll first.

Get the dual inline version. It is less versitle than the handheld (since you cannot take it with you), but it tells you what you want to know, mainly how much your tap water sucks, and how well your RO system is dealing with it. I like this feature because you can see if your water quality for your supplier is getting better or worse.

I like the handheld because it's portable. I've taken it along a few times to help out other aquarists. I also used it to check up on an LFS selling ro/di water.

The downside is that the batteries are expensive, esp if you forget to turn it off .

Well I just placed an order for the Dual inline TDS from H2O Science. I really like there company, I will probably buy stuff from them again. Quality stuff.

I have reservations about the inline type. If the probes are not kept clean how do you know the reading is accurate. With a portable you rinse the probe with DI water after each use and it stays clean. With the inline the RO probe is in some level of TDS at all timesand will eventually get deposits built up and read inaccurately. If I had one I would still have a handheld to check it against for accuracy.

Thanks everyone for the posts and votes. Wish I'd gotten the message from AZDesertRat a little earlier. Why weren't you on earlier? Just playing with ya. I will have to make sure to calibrate it regularly, which is doable.
