help me pick which ballast for my radiums

My setup currently consists of radium 250 w SE bulbs run by ice cap ballasts. I can get a good deal on some blue wave 1 pulse start ballasts....will the blue waves run the radiums better? anyone use radiums with the blue wave 1 ballast? Thanks

You actually need the bluewave 3 or 7. Pulse start AND drive it at spec HQI wattage.

Its pulse start but doesn't drive the radium at spec wattage which is much higher than 250w.

M138 and M80 pulse start are 2 different things for 250w bulbs. M138 being the weaker pulse start which is found in the bluewave 1 and 2, and the M80 pulse start which is found in the blue wave 3 and 7.
