Hello Everyone,

I am new to the country but not to this hobby ;) Can't live without a tank more than few months. (My last tank was a 72x24x24 mix reef in Melbourne)
Trying to set up a small enough mix reef since I am renting here and not sure how long I am going to stay in Bay Area.

Appreciate some advice if you have any experience with these:

I am looking in 2 options:

- SC Aquarium 80 G (32x24x24)
- Marineland Cube Rimless 93 G (30x30x24)

I heard will be good deals here for Black Friday, best time to convince my wife :lolspin:

Is anyone aware of any LFS or online store with the deals on tanks and stand? I never saw any of those tank in person just read some reviews and appreciate if you share your experience.

I know from a friend in Los angles that the SC Tanks are very popular. People seem to like them a lot. I want one of there tanks also. Like other people say neptunes and possibly cad tanks might be a option for around here. Good luck.

Go check out ca reef co in Fremont. They have a bunch of cad light tanks that are very similar to the SC stuff. They have some cad light tanks that the manufacturer doesn't show in their site too

Thanks everyone for the feedback, I will go and check those tanks in person. Marineland in very tempting since is made in USA but I can live with others as long as don't flood :).

Actually I don't mind good used tank as well.

I saw very good deals for black Friday on equipment which I am going to order, these are the one I am ordering:

- Pacific Sun Pandora S (1x 145W + 2x 24W T5)
- Pacific Sun 5 Channels Doser (Love this one with built in ATO)
- Vertex Omega 180I (New skimmer but saw good reviews)

Neptune's is pretty great, they have quite a few reef-ready tanks of different sizes right near the entrance. I wasn't shopping for one at the time but I remember the prices seemed reasonable. Can't go wrong with craigslist for a used tank though.

Thanks Crispy001, I will check them out next week.
Unfortunately most of the Tanks in Craiglist are not deep enough and I really like deep tank (At least 24).
In case I find a used one I can have my cash to spend on better equipment and more corals. haha
