help moding my orbits light

hey i want to shorten the stands on my light becouse the light is too high. i want to at least bring it down one and a half inch

if it's got a plastic splashguard over the bulbs, and the ends of the fixture line up with the sides of the tank, then just lay it on the tank.

If you can't do that... Then it'll take a little bit of genius to make a mod for it... Lemme know what constraints the light fits.

Don't be afraid, bend the brackets if they are metal. that or cut them and use some super glue. lol

well from what i can see on mine there made from plastic. So just cut the legs where it meets the part where it meets the tank then cut the part that goes straight up to where it starts to curve. You could probably cut the a little of the curved part but not much them just glue it back on with something like contact sement or what ever you got et VOILA ...
