What is going on, is something eating them? I have noticed pods on them (and all of my zoos) in addition to that there are those white starfish you see on the pictures and these brown and white striped snails (not sundials). Should I start dipping all of my colonies (eegads thats a lot) or just this one and see what happens?

Sorry the pics are fuzzy, best I could do atm.

I posted a couple of weeks ago that I was losing colonies of Zoa's that were just closing up & then seemingly melting away :(

Couldn't find any nudis/eggs/snails, but like you I found those little sandy coloured starfish, I beleive I might have accidently introduced them from my nano I shut down :(

Reading on the Net it /seems/ they can be coral munchers & are not fussy what they eat! I lost 3 lovely sized Zoa's before finding this out the other day & since then I've removed 15 of these starfish, quite a few off polyps once the lights go off as they are nocturnal, I have 3 colonies that don't look too good, but since I started starfish hunting they seem to be recovering...

hope that helps?

Cheers Shelton.

Fungus... Cut off ALL affected parts... save what you can. Not much you can do against it except frag off the good polyps... Make sure you error on the side of caution and only save the non-infected flesh.

Good luck, those are sweet looking too....
