Last tonight whil I was ecploring my reef with my flash light I noticed an unusual amount of copepods flowing about the water column. A closer look revealed that these were no copepods but rather larvae of my perpermint shrimp who obviously has been getting around the reef if you guys know what im saying. I had no idea this would happen and now im worried about my corals and other reef inhabitants having negative side effects. I have no interest in harvesting a million baby pepermint shrimp. I know for a fact that like lobsters these shrimp begin their life cycle in the water column and eventually settle to a life on the bottom after a few months. Will all of the larvae die and cause havock on my beautiful reef? And to think I just got a new elegance eating like a pig!!!!! Anyone with any kind of knowledge or experience please help THANKS!

You will be fine. My shrimp has babies every few weeks. I just leave them in the tank and have never had any problems.
