hELP please need to id this algea

Hi all

Anyone know what this is and how to control it? Seems to be a fuzz growing all over my BR and not on my LR. We weighing seems fine and all testing is good but do not want to to become a problem as it seems to be trapping trapping lot of detritus. Please see attached . Any help would be appreciated.

Is it purple, or is that your lighting? Post another pic or two? It almost looks bacterial. Are you carbon dosing?

The purple is my lighting. I am runtime activated carbon and it only seems to be growing in certain spots. I have lots of flow and do WC every two weeks.

I have noticed lots of threads like this, in the Marine Plants and Macro Algae forum. For me, there are only two types of algae-the kind you like and the kind you don't like. So, if it is "algae dontlikeitus", there are the usual methods of eradication.
