I hope someone can help. tank is 125 gallons with xenia and dragons-breath macro. 80 degrees. has green bird wrasse (my favorite fish) which is now sick. Also contains about a dozen young yellow tail damsels that I got within the last month. Also a two spot wrasse. Water chemistry ok. Other fish ok. during summer when I returned from vaca the tank had ick and all but the wrasses died
Now I again returned from vaca to find my green bird wrasse hiding in the cave and wont leave. Wont eat. Breathing heavy. Did a 20% water change. Notice bird wrasse has spot of white cottony fungus or whatever on it. Not ick. Thinking of treating the whole tank with clout. Will it hurt the xenia? idk. I could remove the wrasse since it is so sick it probably wouldn't swim fast enough to get away so I could put it in treatment tank but I think the stress removing it would kill it. If this fish dies I am starting over with fish in the spring. Any thoughts on how to save green bird wrasse? I really like that fish and dont want it to die!
