Help please! Stock plumbing or no?

I have a 210, dual overflow, with Eshopps R-300 sump. The 210 came with stock plumbing kits. Two drains and two return lines. Need some plumbing advice, big-time:

1. Can I do three drains and one return? I'd rather not tee the return. Return pump is Sicce Silent 5.0.

2. Should I replace the stock bulkheads? I don't quite know how to describe them...but they have barbs, so I'm assuming only poly hoses and clamps would fit around this.

3. Is it preferable to install slip bulkheads and hard-plumb the whole thing?

You can plumb it however you like. You can do soft tubing or rigid. Most people prefer rigid, I think I looks better. If you want rigid you need slip bulkheads.

Why not T the return? Are you trying to get a beananimal overflow? I'd not, putting a T in the return allows you to position the output better.

Thanks Teddy - I started playing around with it and the soft tubing just wouldn't look good, you're right. So I guess my main thought of having just one return line was to simplify the plumbing a bit. And I'll have plenty of flow in the display.

I've read up on beananimal in the past, maybe will do some further research.

But basically I'll have one main drain (1'') and then two backup drains (1'' and 3/4''). And then one return (3/4''). Unions where they need to be, and a gate valve on the main drain (recommended by LFS)

Do a beananimal overflow. They are very nearly silent and work great. Yes use a gate valve for the main drain always, and I'd recommend the cepex valves for everything else, the home depot type of valve always seizes up
