hello all i purchased a Monitopra coral about 2 weeks ago and it seemed to be doin well . now 2 days ago noticed a white area on the edge and not growth because its getting worse also can not find my bta not sure if died or what but my leather is slimming a little can i dip them and what sound like may be going on havnt tested water in a few days but everything else seems in order

and how long did it cycle for? how long has the tank been up?

sounds like the coral is bleaching
and i read leathers slime up to clean themselves...it will peel off but you have to get it because it can burmn other corals....i also read that they produce toxins that can really mess up stony corals.

it may be bleaching, and may even be being stung by something. anything in the area throwing sweepers out?

tanks been up for 8 months nothin around it just started off real smole and has grown getting water tested tomorow for everything,
