So I broke my tank down a month ago and the live rocks have been sitting in a plastic bin. Powerhead and heater with a lighting over it. I haven't tested the phosphates but I'm sure I had die off especially the sponges.
My goal is not to have phosphates leach out into the new tank from the rocks. So I'm trying to find the best advice for this situation. Rocks won't be used for another 1.5-2 weeks if that helps? I'd like if I can keep the same rocks with the established beneficial bacteria but if phosphates will slowly leak then I'll pass and would rather start off new.
