I have a Profilux Plus II controller and yesterday morning when I woke up the display on the unit was scrambled. I noticed it initially because the water level in my sump was low. When I looked at the display it was showing a bunch of random letters, symbols and numbers. I must admit that I didn't look at it that close (to see if it made any sense) as I was on my way out the door to work and needed it working, so I unplugged the controller and plugged back in about five mintues later (hoping it would "reset" the display). I then connected the Profilux to my computer to "Reset Errors" on my Level Probe for ATO. Everything seemed to be responding in the Profilux software on my computer. The display on the unit was now showing a blank screen with a series of squares in the top row and looked like this:
When I got home after work I noticed the backlight still works, and the buttons still light up. The top row where it generally shows letters and numbers was just these squares, and nothing displayed in the bottom row. When I connect to my computer I can tell the unit is still functioning, as the temp probe is still reading, and the ATO and Dosing Pumps still work.
This makes me nervous as I was just out of town for a week, and this was my second night back. Everything functioned properly when I was away, but I didn't do anything to the Profilux when I returned home, so this "random" issue has me nervous; What if it happened when I was away? Regardless I'm pleased that the unit is functioning now, but the display on the unit is not. Is there a reset button internally I should use? I already tried resetting to Default controls (when hooked to my computer), but it did nothing to the display; Still reads as seen above.
