Help programing slave Doser

Hi, I purchased a 4 pump slave dosing unit to run off my profilux 3 controller. I have the doser set up and communicating with the controller, I just cant get it to dose the correct amount.
I go into processes and set my timer. I would like for the doser to dose 3ML each day. So I click specific days of the week and check each day. Then I put 3 in the rate per dose and 1 in the dosings per day. I then click event start and put in my dosing time. It all seems to work great, it just only doses 1ml weather or not if put in 1ML or 3ML? I am sure it my mistake, any help would be greatly appreciated :)

What's the flowrate of the pump? You might have to calibrate the flowrate of the pump to get what you want. There might be head loss and pressure.

HI Nick, Thank you for your response. I have the flow set at 60ml/minute. I was thinking the same thing. I set the rate per dosing to 1ml and tested it, there was 1ml of fluid. I then set it for 3ml and measured the fluid and it was still 1ml. Would it be the same or would the 1ml dose also be lower? Should I try and calibrate the 60ML?
Thank you again for your help :)

I would play with the pump rate. I have mine set at 40ml/min with about 5 feet of tubing. The doser is at about 3feet height. The tube droops down and then back up again into the cabinet of the tank. Play with the pump speed and see what you get?

Sounds good, I will do that. Do I hit load after I set the pump rate or should I set it first and see what it does. Dose load lock it in?

Load?
You hit save after you've set the rate. For calibration purposes, create a manual dose and set the dosing time a minute before the actual time on the profilux. Hit save and run over the outlet of the tube with a vial. Use a spiringe with marking to measure the fluid in the vial.

Yes, Thank you. I do hit save after each time I try and manual dose. I just seen the load button and wasn't sure if thats what I was doing wrong.

OK, I think I got it. It seems to dose the correct amount when I use the manual setting. It just doesn't seem to dose the correct amount when I use the auto dosing. If I set the manual setting to a certain time each day with the correct amount of fluid and hit save, that should do it?
Thank you again for all your help,

How do you actually measure what's coming out in Auto dosing mode? The controller has its own time to dose in auto mode. Just curious as to how you know when the controller is telling the doser to start.

I would set the doser to auto dose and then set the time in event start. I would then collect the fluid with a cup at the time of dosing and retract it with a syringe to measure the fluid.

But Event Start is a whole new function so using it to measure what you set in Auto Dosing will never match.
Best way is to use the manual mode for calibration(set pump flow rate). Once that's done, you'll have accurate amount dispensed in any mode. If you really want to find out. You can place the vial under the tube for a whole 24hr and measure the amount of fluid collected.

Please refer to the programming manual if you want to know more about event start.

Nick, thanks again for all your help. I think I should be ok now. My doser for some reason didnt come with any manual or paper work, I will look into downloading one.
Have a nice Holiday :)
