I have just noticed that I have what appears to be a wicked case of redbugs.
It came to my attention after i used some epoxy to attach some newly aquired frags. I could see little yellowish/brown parasites squirming around on the epoxy, being that the epoxy is white they stood out pretty good. Upon further examination of the tank i looks as though they are all over the back glass an LR. However, until i buy a magnifing glass i will not jump to conclusions, although I am pretty sure they are red bugs (what else could they be???).
So with that said, you guys should know I plan on treating the entire system (seems like that is best according to what i know, which isnt a lot in regards redbugs), but there are a few questions that I hope you guys can answer:
1. where can i get interceptor (i assume trying a local vet), and is there anyone that may have some on hand???
2. should i do a lugols dip or some other type of dip on each coral first before treating the system???
3. what are the draw back of treating the entire system, and if anyone can offer some do and donts feel free???
4. can anyone offer a play by play, in regards to dosages, timeframes in between doses, how long to run the carbon in between doses???you get the idea,any information you guys can offer would be great
4. are the fish safe when doing an interceptor treatment
5. lastly, are there thread links that you guys may have, or any internet links that i can read up on before jumping into this blindly???i tried searching but it doesnt work to great
