Help really don't know what to do with my zoanthids. They were all doing great i had this beautiful garden that was stunning. my rocks were all cover with them. not rare one but allot of different color reds, yellow, some purple, blues.

They started to close and melt away. my levels hadn't change dramatically in any directions.

so i started ready forums and i though i had nudi zoas, i dipped the in coral disinfect by reef no sign of the little critters(Nudi).
I kept reading and i saw spots on the stem of the zoas, so i treated with Furan 2 , i put ever thing back in the tank now it's been a few weeks some zoas have open up again but most haven't .
i do see in one colony that it has some white spots at the stem and i do see some others with little white spot on the top of each close zoas.

i also started dosing with Vitamin C 3 days ago with 1112 mg taking it slowly and plan on small increases

Before i do any more reading is there any other suggestion that anyone can help me with.

I'm planning on dipping again with furan 2 but I'm second guessing my self.
thanks in advace.
if any one needs pictures to see what i had or have i can post them .

Looks like nudibranch eggs. Unfortunately the eggs are immune to dips -furan, fresh water, coral rx, etc... so you have to scrape the eggs off of the polyps as best you can and keep using dips to eliminate any nudibranchs that have hatched.

I am going through a similar problem myself.

what do you use to scrape them off ?
have you try to remove them all at the same time or partial ?
is furan 2 the treatment or is there another one that better that your using?

Furan will not kill nudis, Flat worm exit will. Even the coral dips you used may not kill them. Pickup a bottle of FWE and dip with them. Also, if it is zoa pox, the treatment is three consecutive weeks of Furan II dips so you may just need some patience as well.

I haven't used it yet but i do have FWE. should i do the furan 2 again and see what happens or do I just do FWE or both, but i really don't think I have the nudis

That is zoapox. It has probably spread to most of your zoas. Your best bet is to QT all of your zoas and dip with Furan-2 per the instructions on zoaid.com. If you cannot remove them to a QT, then be sure you dip all of your zoas. Even the ones that do not look like they have zoapox. Furan-2 will not hurt healthy zoas.

Good luck.

pic a infected colonie and dip whit hydrogen peroxide use one full cap for 7onz of salt water make the mix dip the colonie for about 10 minutes and rince whit fresh salt whater you will sorprice for what your going to see the eggs are goin to be floating arownd whit a brown algae and the zoas open in a few houers i have that problem and this help me alot but continue using furan2 to prevent.i hope your problem resolve soon

i have a 10 gal that i had use the first time that i put them in after I dipped them . has any one treated the QT tank fill half way (5gal) formula to leave them in there or is it to harsh to leave furan 2 in there for a couple of days .Or is it better to do the 1 cup per pkg for 20 min. shown in zoaid.com

That 10gal will be perfect, do you have a small light you can put over it?

I've had the best luck just dipping them in a cup of NSW per package of Furan-2 for 20-30min, then putting into QT with lots of flow. 3 dips consecutively for 3 days, then rest for a week. If still there, do another set of 3 dips. Once all the pox are gone give them another week to rest in QT. Do weekly WCs on the QT with water from your display to make it easier.

Yup, I don't know what I'm talking about. I also have Pox. Using Furan 2 as well as instructed by coralpedia. Good luck.
