HELP sps

Iam having a bit of trouble with some sps loosing tissuse from there tips and i just cant put my finger on it the sg is 1.026 temp 26 celcius kh 9 ca 420 mg 1290 p04 is 0 tested with sailifert nitrate is 6ppm tested on a hanna meter

forgot to mention the lights are two 250w mh and two t5s blue the mh run for about 8 hours a day

It's not new growth? Sure it's losing tissue at the tips?

Algea is growing on the tips. Usually burn tips releted to alk.

I've heard of many accounts where you cut the tips to start new growth. I'm not sure if this works with burnt tips or not but it's worth a shot.

Been there, had it happen and coral eventually started growing and is doing well after nipping then (algae covered) ends off.

No polyp on the white tips its not getting any worse so i might cut them of would it be wise to run the alk a bit lower is 9 a bit high would this cause them to burn? Iam using a sailifert test kit i hope its working correctly might get water tested a lfs thanks all for replies forgot to mention iam using bio pellets too this wouldnt have anything to do with the problem?
