My FIL sent me a surprise for my birthday that he ordered from saltwaterfish. To my surprise a Fedex box showed up and in it were a few frags. I had planned on waiting longer before trying any coral in the aquarium...but I'm jumping in the deep end I suppose. He said these were as easy as they come and as long as I do my water changes they should grow? My first question is...what all do I have below? And then the placement of them?

I'm pretty sure i've identified this one correctly as orange ricordea? I was sent two of these...laid each one on different rocks and they've seemingly form fitted around the rocks...look to be pretty snug (this since Friday afternoon). Anything else I need to do with these?

This one I haven't identified...also just laid it in a crevice of the liverock???

Another here that I have no idea - this is basically a square block...not thin.

Showing two pics of this one, first is when I just put it in the water...it has a stalk that I laid into a hole in one of the rocks. The second pic shows it a little better after "waking up" - you can't even see the stalk now. Is this a torch coral frag? Anything special I should be doing with it??

ricordea, blasto, maybe some kind of favia?, torch

placement seems fine

dont put other frags where the torch can touch them, it will sting and kill them

Super! Thanks!

I think you put me on the right track with the third one as well...thinking a favia rotundata neon green coral frag?? I was wondering with this one being more of a block 1" thick diameter square would this thing do better putting it straight down into the sand substrate?

Definitely have everything away from the torch coral...hoping even my two clowns will leave it alone.

it wont bother the clowns. mine stayed kinda in mine a little with no ill effects. regardless if its a favia or lepto, it should do better on the rocks i think
