I NEED HELP! My tank is 7 weeks old, and here in the past couple weeks, there's been this white slimy film growing on just the silicone corners of my tank and no where else. It gets to the point where the current from the powerhead peels it off. I cleaned it once and now it's back. Another thing that concerns me is, I just added a maroon clown to my tank (the first fish) and he is eating it when it flakes off. When I first started my tank, I revamped my old freshwater tank and re-siliconed the corners, I used the marine safe silicone from DEP. Like I said, it just stared a couple seeks ago. Has anyone had this problem, know what it is or know what may be causing it?
I've tried googling it with no success.
