Help with algae ID...pics

Can you tell me what type of algae I have in my tank? And solution to get rid of it? I know its probably part of the normal tank cycle. Tank is 6 months old. It's on the sand and starting to coat the rocks and GSP like a sheet.

cyanobacteria AKA red slime. check your water parameters, and post back.

Typically this is caused by poor/low flow. Nutrient export not equalling nutrient import. IE,poor skimmer production, overfeeding, lack of water changes etc.

Yep, I agree....With diligence and patience you can clear it up w/o chemicals (temp fix anyway). Read that link for certain....Good Luck and it can be overcome !!
