Help with clam

I just picked up a new clam from a local reefer in the Boston area. The clam looks great except it will open up maybe an inch and then snap shut. The clam is about 8-9 inches wide. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

how did you acclimate the clam?

what fish do you have?

Blue hep, 2 pink skunk clowns, over the course of 2 hours dripping.

it sounds like it still acclimating. just give it a little more time

Sounds good thank you sir. My other clam never did this that is why I was wondering. Should I put my lights on a shorter schdule tomorrow?

what type of clam is it?

what lighting do you have and how long are they on?
