Help with disease on clown fish?

My clown fish has white colored scales on his left side and is acting kinda lethargic and is really not eating well....he is a bigger fish and I have had him awhile...what could that be and how do I help?

Photo possible? No advice based on your desciption, unless its marine "ich" which is treatable.

use spectrum with garlic to repel disease

yeah we would need pics, I would QT this fish and monitor it, if it is ich or brooklynella you may want to start hyposalinity with an air stone to add more oxygen to the water making easier for it to breathe. Good luck.
