Hey guys

I currently have a 195 litre tank setup with a 55 litre sump with about 28kg of live rock and I was wondering how much flow I would need I currently have a 4000lph is this sufficient or should I look at buying a second and running them together ?

Sorry for novice question

Depends what you are looking to keep. Are you going Fowlr, softy's, lps, sps? If your going to do sps your are looking at 20x flow

Well as im new going to stick with softies and lps will eventually get sps once I'm confident enough

The general rule of thumb for total flow (return pump delivered flow plus in tank powerheads) is 20 time your display tank for fish only systems, 30 times the display tank for soft corals and a minimum of 40 times the DT for SPS corals.

Oh right ok sorry I'm still pretty new to the abbreviation of reef stuff etc im such a noob !

So looking at my return pump it's a 3500lhr and my power head is a 4000lhr so That's plenty right ?
