I picked up a frag of a leather toldstool the other day some a guy on here. He just cut it off of his main coral piece. It is unmounted. What do I do to get this thing mounted? I kinda staying int he same place ont he bottom of my tank but sometimes it floats around. Any information wouild be great. Its a great looking frag and I have wanted this coral forever.

Anything else besides rubber band it to a rock i head that splits it in half. Plus i need to wait till tomorrow to get some rubble at my LFS since i dont have any. What do I feed him? Besides light I know i have enough light.

You can feed them with cyclopeeze... As for attaching without rubberband, you could use a plastic toothpic.

I have fragged mine many time and use a rubber band. It does split it half but if you pull the rubber band off after a few days (once it attaches to the rock) then the frag just grows together.

Of course wedging it into a hole in a rock works also.

what i do is use gel supper glue and 2 part puddy epoxy wont hurt anything i know people who have been doing that way for years

ok stab the thing of rubber band? WHich is it? Ill give you guys about 3 hours to decide on this then im going to do it. Right now it is lightly mountly with a rubber band on this tiny piece of rock.

Any way should work just as long as you can keep it attached to the rock long enough for it to attach itself.

If i leave it ont he tiny piece i have it on it is like a half inch wide and a inch long how long do i leave it there. Also is this piece big enough? Do i have to make the rubber band tight? Im kinda afraid to make it tight.

You don't have to leave it too tight or it will cut it in half. As long as it holds it in place it should be okay.

As for how long you should leave it there depends on how quickly it attaches itself. which may depend. I just check it every couple of days to see if it is attached.

Sometimes it will grow up and over the rubber band and if you try to pull it off it will pull the frag off too. Sometimes I cut the rubber band and pull it through.
