OK, so im at school right now and I have no photos but I want to get this started.

I just got 3 small 3/4 to 1 1/4 inch A. Chrysopterus and they look nothing like I thought they would. Does anyone have pictures of them growing out or before and after pictures.

These ones have no blue in their stripes. Does the blue come with age or will these ones just look like clarkiis?

I will post pictures later.

Well, if it means anything. I was in L.A. yesterday and two different wholesalers had small yellow tailed chrysopterus. No they don't have blue stripes, but sometimes you can make out a faint blue edge.

Now Im not doubting liveAquaria but I wonder how they know other than thats what they came in as.

I've had horrible luck with the full grown ones so I am now giving the babies a shot. When I got them today I did a formalin dip and now they are in hyposalinity. Im going to leave them in there for 6 weeks to ensure their health treating with pipzine for internal parasites.

The guys at Quality Marine are pretty good at IDing clowns and they keep similar clowns on seperate rows in the warehouse. FWIW: QM had several small chrys yesterday. All but one looked really good. The only clarkiis I saw were TR and a very light brown. Body shape should help tell the difference. Chys juvis have a smaller head compared to their bodies than clarkis of the same size.
