I just moved my twenty to my fiftyfive with a 30g sump/fuge. It wasn't through the algae portion of the cycle, but my levels are good for the most part, Ammonia .05-.1, Nitrates 0 Nitrites 0 Calcium 420+. The three head frogspawn was doing very well in the 20 and the two head frogspawn, one head hammer and three head hammer were doing great in the friends tank that they came from. It's been about a week and everything is doing very poorly (receding) except the one head hammer (which was fragged from the three head hammer.) The only thing that I can think of is that I did lower there daylight cycle. My twenty was on a twelve hour cycle with 50/50 t5ho and my friends tank was on twelve hour actinic pcs, eight hour 150w 14000k mh. I was worried as my new set up is 4 t5ho actinic w 2x250 15000k mh so ive been on a twelve hour actinic slowly upping the duration of my mhs. its up two 5 hours today (upping it a half hour to hour every day)
So the question is...should I jump up to eight hours on the mhs? Am I increasing too fast already? Is there another possible issue?
