Help With my cycle

Alright so i have a 55 gallon tank with 50lbs of live rock. to start the cycle i put in 4 raw shrimp last tuesday and put the LR in thursday. Also I have added Biozyme and live nitrifying bacteria in order to speed up the process. BUT... I have yet to have any ammonia nitrates or nitrites on any readings? has my cycle not started yet? I am using sand from a previous tank so that could have some benificial bacteria in it but is there any way my tank is done cycling? all input is appreciated. thanks

since lst tuesday how many times did you check it. if only since today your old sand might have caught up with the cycle.

I have checked it daily. wouldnt I have had some ammonia reading at some time?

i would say it just hasnt started yet or you just havent tested on the right time and seen the spike but its not done cycling im pretty sure.... wait at least 3-4 more days then test it..... do you have any algea going on it your tank yet? i noticed on my first tank i had algea on my sand then i noticed it was cycling. i just set up my new tank and its been up 3 days and i put silver sides in and it doesnt seem to be cycling yet for me.

you would think that the shrimp being in there for close to a week now would be decaying and giving off some ammonia though right?
