Ok, where do I start? I have a Ocellaris Clownfish and a Yellow Watchman Goby. The Clownfish has been in the tank since 01/04/07 and the Goby has been in the tank since 01/20/07.
First I noticed a small hole in the left pelvic fin of the Clownfish last week. Then on Friday I noticed what looked like a white bump on the back of the Clownfish. Over the weekend he started to develop more white bumps so I think he has ick. He is still eating and swimming around as usual. I set up my QT tank over the weekend and today moved the Clownfish. Had to get the pH, SG, and temp correct. All the measurement in the tank look good. Ammonia, Nitrites, and Nitrates are 0. pH stays around 8.3. Temp stays around 79.0. To treat the ick I am going to use the hyposalinity method and slowly take the SG in the QT down to about 1.009.
Now what do I do with the Yellow Watchman Goby? He currently resides under one of my rocks with his friend Tiger Pistol Shrimp? He shows no signs of ick, is eating, and acting normal. Can he stay in the main tank? He is almost impossible to catch. If I was able to catch him, should I move the Tiger Pistol Shrimp to the QT also?
Thanks
Brad
