Help with Scolymia sore

In Memoriam
Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me with my pink Scolymia. I found a Gorilla crab eating on it and I'm not sure what I should do to ensure this sore doesn't spread. Any help would be wonderful!

Thanks in advance,

I am not an expert but my inclination would be to leave it alone, keep an eye on it, if it looks like an infection is starting -- then do a dip. Good job catching the crab. I still have 2 in my tank after catching about 10. The survivors know to stay hidden. They are smart gorillas!

They are nasty - he bit me before being removed, one last bite I must add. I thought I should just leave it alone and when she's really open you can't even see it. It had grown some algae in the area and I've cleaned that off, other than that I'll just leave it be.

Thank you,

I actually have a collection of dead gorillas! Yeah -- just keep an eye on it. Pretty unusual transition -- engineer to artist!

"Pretty unusual transition -- engineer to artist!"

Yes, very strange but I must say the artist in me made me a very good engineer - I never lacked in the "creative engineering" department :). I really feel it's something that is missing in our schools (art classes being cut). I could come up with solutions to problems and see things that others just could not see, I really think it was all my art training the helped me. I'd always been an artist (as was my mother) and the engineering just paid the bills. Yes the two parts of my brain battle all the time - I'd like my art to be more free flowing but my engineering side just will not allow that to happen :).

Thanks for the information on the coral and yes those gorillas are bad news in our tanks.
