Hi everybody.
Usually, i find all my answers with the great posts on this forum. Thank's to the veteran knowledge.

But right now, i really have problem with my new skimmer installation and would like personal assistance...

It's my first skimmer, PM bullet 2, with Panworld pump.

I read and read instruction from PM, but I 'm just unsure if everything is ok...

The tank is 3 month old, 130 gal with 50 gal sump.

I get nice fine bubble in the lower tube. The problem occur in the neck, where bubbles get bigger and irregular. Is it ok?

About break in period, do you refer to the time when the skimmer begin to produce dark foam, or the time when the skimmer neck fill with foam?

I would really appreciate if someone who use this skimmer or similar could give a step by step guide for dummy.

Thank's for your time
Chris

Have you contacted Precision Marine about this? I don't own this skimmer but... normally this is what is going to happen in the neck of the skimmer. In the lower section you will have very small bubbles, but as they rise they will get bigger. The break-in period is usually over when it starts producing skimmate. Can you post some pics of the skimmer?

depending on the pump you use it may need to be placed lower into the water. I have a turboflotor and depending on the pumps depth it will produce either more bubbles or more water. I thought it wasn't working so I added some length because I thought it wasn't working and it filled the collection cup in a couple minutes with clear water. I went back with the original length and now get nothing but stinky goo in the collection cup. I would imagine that it could be tuned even better but I am a noobie.

If it uses foam on the intake side then it should be cleaned weekly with vinegar. you should see a big difference in skimmate.

#1 Sorry no pics for now, my Canon is broken (just when I need it)
#2 Yes I have bioload, 90 pound of love rock, 2 ocelarris
#3 External pump
#4 Cleaning was my first solution tried.

Thank's for the help.
Anybody woth picture of a nicely tuned becket skimmer?

I'd give it at least a week... possibly two... before I started worrying about it. I've never used that particular skimmer, but I will say that the materials that skimmers are made from have chemicals on them that come from manufacturing and need time to wash off.
