help with using interceptor

Hey guys! I noticed i have the dreaded red bugs on 2 of my sps colonies so I went to the vet and got some interceptor pills but im not sure on how much to use. I have a 75g with a 30 gallon fuge, with about 90 lbs. of live rock. the pills that i got are the 23 mg. ones. Any input woul be greatly appreciated....Romy

I don't have any personal experience with using it. Have you tried searching the SPS forum? There are many experiences with using it there. Since you're not a paid member, use the google RC search method....

Thanks Dave! I figured i have about 50 gallons of water. the forum said use .025 mg per 10 gallons which amounts to .125 of the pill. using a portable digital scale i borrowed from my friend(dont know why he has one) i broke the pill in 8 equal pieces(the pill weighed .96 g)leaving me with 8 .125 pieces. I'm gonna dose this tomorrow afternoon, I hope everything goes well. I will let you guy know...Romy

I have used it with great success. Don't worry to much about overdosing. Just know that all your pods,shrimp,crabs will die within about 6 hrs after you dose. So if you want to save them get them out before hand. It does work quite well at removing red bugs. My sps looked alot better the next day and have since fully colored back up in the spots that the red bugs had infected.
