My ZOA's were doing great with awesome bright colors but now 7 of the 30+ polyps are all white but they still open and feed.......what could cause them to turn white I have a 4 bulb t5 ho on a 110 gallon tank and they are in the middle of the tank all parameters are spot on but my calcium is a tad low any help would be appreciated

Zoas are funny sometimes. Give them time. Ive had zoas melt for no reason at all but others are all great and growing. they will get better

What are you feeding them? If they are in reasonable position in the tank (lighting and flow wise) it may be best to just be patient and watch to see if they improve.

Bleaching normally happens because of stress, often after changing in lighting or temperature.
Probably your temperature went up enough to bleach the polyps (?).
To keep temp ~79°-80°F is the best for most tropical species.
Bleaching happens when temp. reaches 85°F+.

Help with ZOA's!!!!!

^^^ +1 sounds like bleaching to me. How long have you had them in your tank? What kind of lighting are you running? What kind of zoa's are they? Some pics would probably help in trying to find a solution.

I have only had them for a week they are under an aquatic life 4x56 high output fixture I will post pics in about 20 min

Yep, they are partially bleached.
It really doesn't matter the type of light you've got. They need to adapt to it.
Not THAT bad though.
Try to reduce the intensity of light by dimming it, or raising the fixture until they get some more color.
