Help!!! Zoanthids closing up

Reef dog 29

I have a small orange zoanthid frag and when I received it They opened up almost immediately, but i noticed a few days ago they closed up so i waited a few days and they haven't opened back up. I have them placed next to a colony of green zoas. I'm having an diatom bloom or some Brown algae could that be them reason for them closing up.Would a herbivore like a convict tang help? :worried2:

They have been closed for a week now and I don't know why.I moved them out of the sand to Get them away from the algae, and a few opened up but only temporary. My other colony of Zoas are open all day and nothing seems wrong so I don't think its chemical or parameters amiss. How long can they stay closed without harm?

are there any tricks to remove the algae without harming the Zoas, Cause I got LPS and SPS along with some softies too. I read that you can spray them with hydrogen peroxide then dunk them in tank water to rinse the peroxide off and that kills the algae on the rock. is this true or just BS

nitrates are a bit high! While they like some nitrate, 40 is up there (5-10 is better).
whats your alk (KH)?

i just tested all my levels and they are PH:8.0, Ammonia: 0 , Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: still 40 .Did a partial water change to help and adding stress zyme to help also.
