Hi guys! Hope your tank and families are safe from recent earthquakes. It was scary to see my tank spilling water everywhere [emoji33][emoji23]

So I'm helping 2 friends who's completely new to this hobby. I was hoping if someone wants to sell used innovative marine 10 or 20 fusion with some mod with no problems (no leaks, huge scratches, and crack on any part of the tank)

The point of me helping them is let them know reefing can be really addictive as freshwater and easy to maintenance. Also can be done with limited budget.

Any problem free rock and sand donations would be awesome too! I can bring some used esv 2 parts, magnesium, iodine, phytoplankton from brightwell for exchange. Or even almost new siccie 1.5 if you have new live sand in a bag.

I'm buying for them so I dont want to spend too much money on used tank.. just give me price and pics. I'll choose! Also can drive up to 30min from Los angeles.

Thanks for reading. Happy reefing!

If they are really new to reefing, and you want to help them, I wouldn’t recommend starting with anything smaller than 60 gallon for a reef. Small reefs have really difficult time with stability unless you are only going to have Zoas, pallys and softies.

Less than that just xenia, gsp, and mushroom. With 2 clownfish, 1 blenny, and some CUC.

I partially agree with what five.five said. A Nanotank is not always the best beginner tank. With that being said, I started with an IM10 and while that tank has been nothing but joy for me, there are a few pointers to address - just for awareness

Small footprint means limited scaping and room for growth
Stability - easy to overfeed, swing in parameters
Limited livestock options - there’s a lot of nano inverts and fish out there but can seem limited if you want to try something out of the norm

There is a long list of things that makes the IM10 a perfect starter tank (lots of mods, easy to stock, easy waterchanges etc) but personally I wish I would’ve started with an IM20.

Best of luck in your search. Both tanks are great and can come at very attractive prices when buying a used set-up.

I started reefing with 10g as well. I agree it's way much more work than my current 30g tank. But it was not overwhelmingly difficult. They are not going for any acros or sps so I thought it would be easy to take care for them. Just topoff once in a week wc. Tank filled with softie and one clownfish or blenny. Simple system

I have a Cadlights 12g AIO. It was my son's and he just took it down. If your interested I will check but I think it has everything you'd need...filter rack for back chamber, return pump and a light fixture...either a nano box or a kessil 160.

Problem is, I am headed out of town for a few days so I'm not sure I can find pics. If you're interested, I can try to get pics and get it cleaned up when I get back in town.
