Tips, suggestions and care sheets are welcome :)

This is how the coral looked this morning (place it in tank at 12 midnight)

Its in medium laminar flow (powerhead pointing on glass). I placed it in the sand bed as well. The pics don't do justice but the tips are bright pink and the colors of the polyps are tan and greenish.

It looks bleached in that picture. I know that pictures never look like the actual item in our tanks due to the blue lights, but bleached is one that usually can be seen.

Make sure you keep it in med/low light and low/med flow erratic is best, but to also feed it Mysis twice a week. This will help it recover from being bleached.

It's a very nice looking elegance and looks healthy other than the appearance of being bleached.

Agreed that it's pretty bleached, I'm surprised to see that when you consider how close you are to collection. Must have been from them dry shipping, doesn't look like it fared all that well...

fed it this morning with a small shrimp :) its very sticky and grabbed the food and ate it immediately.

Here it is after eating :)

Looks like it's already coloring up.

I'd keep feeding it a couple times a week for a while.

I'm crossing my fingers that this beauty will live :)

I'm very positive with it because its very sticky and seems to be always open. I'll post updates with it regularly :)

It ate my weak and injured firefish :(

The clown became so territorial it nipped at it for days until it started to calm down when it hosted my power head and my torch coral alternatively.

However the firefishes is still somewhat alive just weak and is still feeding so I was positive it will recover.

Well guess what here is the firefishes now:

It only ate half of the fish and slowly spit it out as what you can see in the picture :(

It seemed to be getting a bit more bigger and is going to touch all my corals at my sandbed... Should I move it on the rocks up top? Or its best on the sandbed?

Thanks :)

It's best in the sandbed. Elegance corals can get quite large and they need a good bit of space to expand. Make sure nothing can sting it or it can sting anything else. It's always best to leave at least 6" between corals that are not alike, so their stinger tentacles won't reach the nearest corals. Some corals have stingers even longer.

So I'll move all my zoa frags and GSP uptop now

I'm confused, the collectors found the elegance corals on rocks, so I'm assuming it will do well on top of liverocks.

Ill just move it on top slowly :) it seems to he adjusting from my light and I don't want to shock it.

So ill continue feeding it till it colors up and then, I'll reduce it ones its healthy?

A lot of your placement will depend on the lights you have in your tank. Most Elegance are found in the substrate of the ocean as well as placement in our tanks. Tank placement will depend a lot of how strong your lights are. I don't think either of you have very strong lights so up higher might be more appropriate. I have both of my elegance corals on the substrate.

Thanks! I think my light is just average. Not too bright to sustain some SPS, but very good for LPS and softies :)

I'll find a spot for it uptop where it can be alone :)

Here is the elegance as of now :)
Its happily sitting in the sandbed and has eaten twice (small shrimp and my weak dying firefish)

Yes I saw that picture and that is why I said your lights are not bright enough. The tank overall looks kinda dark.

I don't know why the pic seems darker a bit in the pic though but I've successfully kept corals there before on the sandbed and when placed a bit higher, my torches before would bleach and started spewing its zoox.

However if its kinda dim I'm still fine with it since I can move my elegance up top without a bit of problem :)
