You need to use a flash to get better depth of field, or to take serious macros at all. Your camera should be set to at least f/11, f/18 to f/22 is ideal, and your shutter speed at 1/200. This is with a hand-held overhead flash.

Which flash would you recommend for my setup? which type/brand? Im guessing a remote flash is what you are referring to?
