Hermit crab ID?

Hello there! I went to my LFS today and saw this awesome hermit crab with these cool anemones on it. The guy at the store told me it was reef safe with caution as it may knock things over but that's about it. I got it for 10 dollars, and it's about 3 and a half inches long. He also said it will grow to the size of a softball, which is very hard to believe. Can anyone actually ID it and tell me more about it? My tank has
-----
Cleaner wrasse
4 clownfish
small orange shoulder tang
15 red burrowing crabs
splendid garden eel
pistol shrimp and goby
2 allens neon damsels
fighting conch
sand sifting starfish
other hermits and snails
2 black and red concial starfish
and some NPS corals.
The picture I'm showing was taken by me as soon as I got it home.

Not sure of the hermit, but I believe the two little anemones are caliactis tricolor anemones. I think I spelled it right, anyways, I had two that I found washed up on the beach and still have one for about a year now. Lost the other to my pistol shrimps burrow a few months ago.

I might worry about it stinging other corals if the crab brushes the anemone up against one.

You could peel them off its shell and stick them on their own rock as well if the above was a concern. They can "walk" but mine rarely does.

They are an interesting pair, the crab and anemones, for the tank and fun to watch.

I take back my stinging comment earlier..

Mine decided to move from the rock I put it on to my turbo's shell lol. It's extra happy I'm letting it stay.

I watched it get drug across and rest on my zoas and digi. The polyps all came back out after a few min.

Here's a pic.

Wow that's cool! I put mine in the tank as well and I'm letting them roam around. Their tentacles are very sticky though, so I was a bit worried at first!

I feed it shrimp pellets every once in a while and it eats them right up. Pretty neat watching the tentacles move and bring the food in to be consumed.
