Hey folks, pretty new to this site and just wanted to say hello to start out with!
Now onto the meat of my problem. I am currently setting up a 125 (72x22.5x18) with a 60 gallon sump and have been searching for some time for a skimmer.
Welp, I found one, a steal you might call it. I found myself a SRO XP3000E for $300 two months old with hardly any use on it. Obviously I bought the sucker. Now, the biggest problem I have is pretty obvious at this point. This skimmer is HUGE.
I love LPS and softies but I've heard overskimming is a big no-no when it comes to these corals. I really do like this skimmer and I didn't really want to have to get rid of it or trade it for something smaller. (Plus it makes it easy to do future upgrades.)
I'm on a budget so simply getting a bigger tank is out of the question. I was just wondering if anyone had some advice as to what I could do to run this skimmer on my tank or is it pretty much a lost cause?
(Side note, I do plan on having a heavy stocking list now that I've bought this thing.)
Thanks.
