Hi everyone. I'm Aaron, member of the Million Dollar Band, and a reefer here at Alabama... no, the other kind of college reefer. Anyway I'm new to RC but I spent a lot of time on NR but this is the first Alabama-based forum for reefkeeping I could find. I currently have a 5.5g pico/nano aquarium that's been up for about 5 months (had been up for a year at my old apartment a year ago). Anyway I came on here mostly to find out where I can get corals and things in the state... I used to go to Aquarium Designs in Hoover but then they moved... then had limited hours... then closed so I'm kind of SoL at the moment. Anyway, hope you guys can help and I'm glad to be a part of the Alabama reefing community.

Aquarium designs has moved down 31 toward alabaster on the left behind waffle house. They are only open on sat. and sun. Aquarium imports is in hoover behind Outback Steak House. Both are pretty good.

So they moved again? I know they first moved from Patton Creek down to 31 near Oak Mountain Lanes, Advanced Auto, etc. I didn't know they'd moved again. Never been to Aquarium Imports I'll have to check 'em out. Thanks!

Got a RKL for Christmas... can finally be rid of that awful Coralife Digital Power Center... which means hardware for the 5.5g is basically all perfect. Now I just need to get my hands on some coral for the little guy.

Also, I got this for the holidays.

Will do! Got the tank off the Coralife power center (finally) and got the RKL all hooked up. Look and runs MUCH nicer. Very pleased.

I'm back and forth from TTown and Bham all the time since my parents live in the 'Ham. I'll definitely be hittin' y'all up for frags or meets or things like that in January... too busy getting ready to go to Pasadena at the moment, though.

I think a number of us plan to drive to Nashville for the frag swap in January, but I don't think we've setup a meeting yet. Someone help me out, I've been out of circulation for a few weeks.

Stopped off at AI on the way back to Tuscaloosa today... picked up a small zoa frag and some inverts and the guy threw in a bonus frag of zoas... real nice guy. I'll definitely be going back for business.
