Your lens choice depends on a few factors like # of LED's/LED spacing/tank depth,etc...
wider lens works to cover larger areas,allows greater spacing and reduces disco effect but sacrifices how deep it can penetrate.
a narrow lens will require tighter LED spacing but penetrates deeper but can result in disco if using an assortment of colors.
in general 90 deg is fine.. use narrower for tanks over 24" deep.
its always nice to draw some cones representing the angles of the lenses/led spacing and ensure they cones collide high up in the tank.
