There are obvious difficulties involved, but overall it sounds like a great idea even if only done by a small group. This is a means to help out your fellow reefers, the environment and save money. One stipulation could be that one of the first frags be donated to the club's monthly auction. This way we could still help the club raise some moolah and people that don't want to be involved could still purchase nice aquacultured frags for cheap.
I have a variety of high end zoas (nuclear greens, purple death, lunar eclipse and others) and Vietnamese mushrooms that I'm propagating and would be willing to donate, as well as, decorative macro-algaes such as halymenia (spelling?).
